Four hundred final year boarding students of Kumasi Girls Senior High School in the Ashanti region have been suspended for bad conduct.

Headmistress Mary Krah Ampofo explained to XYZ News regional correspondent Isaac Bediako Justice that the girls left school at dawn without permission.

“On Friday one of my teachers came and reported that as early as 2: am he met about ten of the students walking on foot from the school gate to Bepo junction.

“He called them and they all ran away…so I organised a roll call and I realized that most of them had scaled the wall and gone out without permission.

“So according to our rules, if you go home without an permission you would have to go home and become a day student…the boarding facility is not an obligation on the part of anybody it is rather a privilege, so if you are not ready to obey the rules then you go home as a day student,” she said.
