Three impressive fashion shows put the icing on this year’s FashionistaGH Shopping Festival (#fghshop) at the Events Haven (formerly ‘The Plaice’), Trade Fair Centre Accra Monday night.
The three-day fashion festival which started from Easter Saturday March 30 to Easter Monday April 1, 2013 witnessed exhibitions from the fields of fashion, beauty, health, food and allied areas.
After successfully hosting the maiden edition of the event in July 2012, organizers, FashionistaGH, exceeded their target of giving patrons a bigger event this year.
The three fashion shows, which climaxed the Easter Monday night, witnessed some remarkable displays from 15 designers who exhibited their wares at the festival.
Models showed off uniquely designed clothes, necklaces, beads, bags and shoes to about 600 patrons who were in attendance.
Some of the designs that were modeled on the runway were from Poqua Poqu, Afro Mod Trends, Chocolate, Selina Beb and a host of others.
Organizers told Myjoyonline.com that #fghshop, which was sponsored by telecommunications giant, MTN “was up to our expectation. We were impressed with the turnout.”
“Our aim is that we will be trend setters in Africa and we are on course to achieve that,” the organisers added.
