Isaac Vorsah has been spared a severe ban in Austria following the red card he received in a league match over the weekend, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Ghana defender was has been suspended for one match following the sending off in Sunday’s league match.

Vorsah was given the straight red card during Red Bull’s 1-1 away league match against Austria Wien.

The 24-year-old Ghanaian was sent off in the 37th minute for a foul on striker Alexander Grünwald which resulted in the penalty that gave the league leaders the 1-0 lead.

The incident was reported to Austria Football Federation’s Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday who reviewed the tape.

The body ruled that the Ghanaian defender will not sever a three-match ban for violent conduct which resulted in his sending off, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.

Vorsah will only miss Sunday’s crucial league match for second-placed Reb Bull who host third-placed Sturm Graz.

It is Vorsah second red card of the season.
