Winneba, April 1, GNA-The General Secretary of the Agona Swedru Area Church of Pentecost has called on Ghanaians to put the development of the nation above their political affiliations.
He said to achieve this ‘we should put aside our ethnicity and come together as one people with a common destiny’.
Pastor Banda made the call at a four-day Easter convention organized by the church in Winneba.
Six Churches from the Winneba Zone attended the convention which was under the theme ‘And Jesus said it is finished’.
They are from Potsin, Ansaful, Apam, Gomoa Ankamu, Abasaraba and Winneba.
Preaching on the topic, ‘The Word is Love’ he said, as human beings, ‘let us put aside our political affiliations and ethnicity to demonstrate that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has united us’.
‘Let us demonstrate the love within us by sacrificing towards the growth of the society and help propagate the massage of God to win more souls to Christ Jesus’.
Pastor Banda urged Christians to be ambassadors of peace and love since Christ’s mission on earth was to bring mankind together.
