Accra, March 31, GNA – Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian International Evangelist, on Sunday called on Ghanaians to use the death and resurrection of Christ to foster national peace, unity and reconciliation.

He said the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the main  opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) should also value their common good and  not to ‘read political meanings into any move they make’.

Dr Tetteh was addressing a thanksgiving service of the Assemblies of God  in honour of President John Dramani Mahama and his wife Lordina, who are  members of the Church.

He said as a man of God he is not impressed about the political animosity  between the NDC and NPP and asked the leadership of the two parties to  acknowledge their strengths and weaknesses in order to hasten the development  of the nation.

Dr Tetteh asked Ghanaians to pray for the national leaders to be endowed  with wisdom and knowledge to facilitate the progress of the country.

He said those in authority should strive to be instruments of tolerance,  peace and unity and give of their best to the country as Christ did on the  cross.

‘Christ reconciled man unto himself through the sacrifices he made on  the cross,’ adding it will take the personal sacrifices of every Ghanaian to  build a prosperous nation.

Dr Tetteh asked the President who was represented at the function, to  seek the face of the Lord in every decision he takes.

‘Seek the face of the Lord in every decision you take to rule the  nation, ‘he stressed.
