As part of efforts to promote Ghanaian music to the outside world, the Greater Accra regional branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has launched the maiden edition of an event dubbed ‘Industry Night Ghana 2013’ at the Golden Tulip Hotel.

The Industry Night Ghana 2013 which is expected to kick off in June this year according to the Greater Accra regional chairman of MUSIGA, Nana Kwaku Okyere Duah, aka Tic Tac, is being organised to bring together all major corporate organisations, music industry players and musicians from different backgrounds together to network for the good of Ghanaian music.

He stressed that the event will see the creation of a ‘village’ at the Golden Tulip Hotel to promote Ghanaian music and artistes, adding that established and upcoming artistes will also use that platform to perform and market their musical works.

Tic Tac disclosed that the key objective of the initiative ‘is to get Ghanaians and foreigners working in Ghana together to understand the Ghanaian creative and arts industry, culture and business. The Industry Night Ghana 2013 will promote Ghanaian music.’

Speaking at the launch which attracted a large number of stakeholders in the music industry, Tic Tac disclosed that the Industry Night Ghana 2013 will afford musicians the unique opportunity to entertain and develop themselves as musicians professionally and businesswise.
