Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Awal-Issah has returned to his parent club Rosenborg after terminating his loan move to Greek side Veria.

But Awal-Issah has been told he is not in the plans of the Norwegian club and he must look elsewhere.

Last month, his agent Pascalis Tontouris announced that the player had joined the Greek Super League side on a loan until the summer of 2014.

But the combative midfielder made a u-turn on his decision to join the side.

“The situation at the club was so bad that I now looking for new opportunities,” Awal-Issah said.

He was down the pecking order at Rosenborg behind by Ole Selnæs, Mikkel Diskerud and Jonas Svensson in midfield.

“It’s frustrating, and I’m worried. I do want to play football,” he added.

“When I Rosenborg was agreed last fall to find something else, there was a common agreement. But of course it’s frustrating not to play football.”

Rosenborg sporting director Eric Erik Hoftun also said: “No, there are no plans for him to be here now. And I’m pretty sure he will find himself a new club very quickly.”

Issah joined Rosonborg in the summer of 2011 for a fee of just over US$ 7 million as a replacement for compatriot Anthony Annan who left to Schalke 04.

The former Red Star Belgrade player started the first games but eventually found himself on the bench.
