Slim Burna first hit the news in 2009 when he released a re-make of “Oyoyo” (a track originally recorded by Jay Martins) which was featured in several mixtapes put together by Naija DJs Coalition.

Slim was born in Essex, UK. He returned to Nigeria with his family when he was just two years old and grew up in Port-Harcourt where he is currently based.

Although there have been some previously released gems in the past years, Slim says “I’m On Fire” is the best thing I’ve done lately. I’ve grown both lyrically and vocally, my style has improved and I feel like I have more control of my abilities now”
