I Don’t Hate Kwesi Appiah- Ex Gfa Boss Dr Nyaho Tamakloe

Kwesi Appiah has been maintained as Black Stars coach

Former Ghana Football Association Nyaho Tamakloe says he has no personal vendetta against Kwesi Appiah despite calling for his removal.

The tough-talking former Hearts of Oak chairman called for Appiah’s sacking after leading the Black Stars to a disappointing fourth place finish.

Tamakloe said it was the “cup of tea” of the Ghana Football Association to keep him in charge of the Black Stars.

His comments have been misinterpreted in many quarters with many suggesting the former football administrator and now politician was hitting on the ex-Black Stars captain.

But he has strongly replied to his critics and clarified his comments.

“I’ve been interviewed by Metro TV and I’m not in a position to do anything again because I don’t want to create the perception that I’m trying to persecute Kwesi Appiah,” Tamakloe is quoted by the 90 Minutes newspaper.

“I have no such intention, all I ever want is this country good in football and if the GFA thinks he is the man to do the job then its their cup of tea.”

Kwesi Appiah has been told to continue his work by his employers and his next assignment will be against Sudan at home in a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
