Accident Dead

A scuffle between a couple at Akyem Abomosu in the Eastern Region last Thursday resulted in the death of the woman.

Beatrice Darkwah, 35, was butchered by her husband of two years, identified as Kwame Charles, 40, in their bedroom about 10 p.m.

Darkwah’s screams for help were said to have attracted a co-tenant, who rushed into the couple’s room, only to find her lying in a pool of blood.

Kwame allegedly rushed out of the room as soon as the co-tenant entered and went into hiding.

Beatrice was allegedly pronounced dead on arrival at the Enyiresi Government Hospital where she was rushed to.

The Anyinam District Police Commander, Superintendent of Police Jeff Darko, confirmed the incident in an interview but declined to assign any motive for the incident until investigations into the murder had been completed.
