The Accra Metropolitan Assembly says it will continue to demolish churches that operate without permits.
The AMA taskforce on Wednesday pulled down the Fruits of Life Ministry Church building in Bubuashie for operating without permit and also making excessive noise at night.
Director of Public Health Department of AMA, Dr. Simpson Anim Boateng said the public must report churches that operate illegally.
“Most of these churches are built purely in residential areas where people are supposed to have their peace of mind and they are disturbing all the time.
“There are some churches too who are operating illegally but because they are not disturbing the people around it does not come to our notice” Mr Simpson said.
