Japan Motors Trading Company Limited, the official Nissan automobile company in the country, has added three new Yamaha products to its stock of products.
The products were launched in Accra yesterday to a rousing welcome.
They are the Yamaha Crux, Yamaha Rhino and the Yamaha Grizzly 350 (automatic) motorcycles.
All three products guarantee quality, efficiency and durability, but with unique mechanical features.
The Yamaha Crux, for instance, comes with an analogue instrument panel, a standard braking system and suspension system and an engine that packs an impressive punch, at least relative to its stature.
Its engine produces 7.6 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 7.85 Nm at 6,000 rpm, fitted it with four-speed manual gearbox with the multiplate clutch.
The Yamaha Rhino, on the other hand, has a large utility 4×4 ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle), with two side-by-side bucket seats and their belts.
The controls are similar to those of a golf cart, with pedals and a steering wheel rather than the handlebars of a conventional ATV.
The all-utility Grizzly 350 also owes itself to Yamaha’s superb engineering, bagging the pride as one of the most reliable ATVs on the market today.
It features a specially-designed seat that offers tremendous rider comfort, steel cargo racks that carry a combined cargo capacity of 264 pounds, and a standard centre-mounted trailer hitch carries more than 1,100 pounds of payload.
The General Manager, Sales and Marketing of Japan Motors, Imad Antoine Ghorayeb, said the three products guarantee quality, efficiency and durability.
The Yamaha Crux, for example, is a bike that has the biggest seating capacity of three people and very economical.
The Yamaha Rhino on the other hand is mainly targeted for general utility and recreational use and can be used as a mini pickup.
He explained that the front and rear fenders of the Grizzly 350 offered inner guards and a water-resistant, large-capacity under seat storage box that provides added convenience, among other things.
He also said it has the ability to go everywhere whether in the bush, rocks on the stairs and on the beach. It has a capacity of 500kg and can take heavy loads.
Yamaha Product Manager, Mabel Offei, said Yamaha and Japan Motors were poised to give their valued customers ‘great quality and excellent service in 2013.’
Other dignitaries in attendance were Hilda Peasah and Clare Kattah, Marketing and Sales Managers of Japan Motors respectively.
