Prime Minister Hisham Qandil inspected Tahrir Square and security checkpoints set up at nearby bridges at Saturday dawn.
Qandil also toured the area surrounding the Ittihadiya presidential palace in Heliopolis, the scene of clashes on Friday.
Qandil urged security forces to handle strictly rioters and outlaws.
