Supreme Court Resumes Sitting On Election Petition Today

The Supreme Court will on Thursday rule on an application filed by the three petitioners of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) requesting the Electoral Commission to provide them with the collation and pink sheets.

Speaking to Citi News, a member of the NPP legal team, Gloria Akuffo said the court will also rule on the number of interrogatories before it.

“We have also pending, an application by the petitioners against the second respondents for notice to produce documents in the possession of the second respondents as statutory public body. That application has been argued and it has to do with the collation sheets and pink sheets,” she explained.

Madam Akuffo added that there is also an application for interrogatories by the first respondent “so that when we get the certified true copy of the court’s ruling on the further and better particulars and our interrogatories, then the applicants will better consider whether to go on.”
