The Minister expressed the hope that the new hotel will introduce competition into the hospitality sector and by so doing improve quality service delivery and competitive hotel rates.

She entreated the owners and managers of the African Sun Hotel to be socially responsible, observe the country’s labour laws and also offer periodic capacity building training programmes to its staff.

According to managers of the hotel, they are committed to delivering according to its theme “Strengthening the Core for Growth”, a theme which seeks to align the Group to its vision which is “to be the benchmark hotel management company in Africa”.

Its focus is therefore on service excellence, consolidating its portfolio to ensure optimum results from its operations as well as cost alignment in all its activities.
