-This afternoon will see the first of the four quarter-final matches get underway with Ghana and Cape Verde.
βFor the Blue Sharks it will be a real test for character as they take on the mighty Ghanaians who are one of the favourites to take home the title.
β Cape Verde’s road to the quarter-final came about by finishing as runners-up to South Africa and inching out Morocco.
β For Ghana, the pressure lies on them to reach their second successive semi-final but even with their start-studded line-up it won’t be easy breaking down a highly disciplined Cape Verde side.
β The encounter is expected to be a tight fixture with most of the play coming from the Black Stars but the debutants cannot be underestimated as they are fully capable of springing a surprise.
The second half is underway.
