Sovereign Trust Insurance elevates managers

As part of its succession plan and in tune with its resolve to always recognise and reward outstanding performance, Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc has announced the elevation of three deputy general managers to the position of general managers.

In a statement on Friday, the firm said the newly promoted officers were the Divisional Head, Operations, Olaotan Soyinka; Divisional Head, Retail and Business Development, Ugochi Odemelam; and Divisional Head, Finance and Administration, Kayode Adigun.

The Managing Director, STI, Mr. Wale Onaolapo, said the promotion was in recognition of the affected employeesā€™ committed loyalty to the company, dedication to duty and belief in the corporate objectives of the organisation.

ā€œOur greatest asset in Sovereign Trust Insurance has always remained our human capital, and management is committed to ensuring that good performance will always be rewarded from time to time at all levels within the organisation,ā€ Onaolapo said.

The Head, Corporate Communications and Brand Management, STI, Mr. Segun Bankole, said it would be the first time in the history of the organisation to appoint three general managers with Odemelam emerging as the first female general manager of the underwriting firm since its inception.

He said the newly promoted officers had been very outstanding in their different portfolios over the years.

According to theĀ  statement, the three general managers recently took charge of the divisions that were created after the adoption of a new business model that took off earlier in the year.
