Ghana’s Black Stars have beaten their Nigerien counterparts by three goals to nil.
Goal from captain Asamoah Gyan in the 6th minute through an Albert Adomah cross gave the Stars’ an early lead.
Christian Atsu added the second in the 23rd minute from an Asamoah Gyan cross.
John Boye scored the third and final goal in the 48th minute just after recess from a Kwadwo Asamoah free kick after the Niger goalkeeper failed to handle an Asamoah Gyan header in the post.
Ghana will now face Cape Verde in the quarter finals on Saturday at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
