Recently-turned controversial Nollywood producer and director, Charles Novia says most Nigerian TV and radio presenters sound like poor imitations of Hollywood black gangsters or rap artistes.
‘Almost every presenter on air is sounding like poor imitations of Hollywood black gangsters or rap artistes. These days, you just have to strain your ears to hear anything they say on air’, the CEO of November Records said, while criticizing the accents on radio and TV presenters.
Novia wants today’s presenters to emulate the virtues and skills of presenters of yester-years who, as has been generally agreed, were more professional and proud of their mother-tongues, especially as concerned pronunciations.
