Kofi Adams ‘Likely’ To Contest As An Independent Candidate For Buem

Mr. Kofi Adams, spokesman for former President Rawlings says he will seek the intervention of President Mahama over his disqualification from the ruling party’s Buem parliamentary primary.

Kofi Adams says he also intends consulting senior members of the party as to whether to go independent or not.

Mr. Adams was suspended as a deputy general secretary of the party in March last year following a leaked tape recording in which he was alleged to have conspired with opposition member Gabby Asare Otchere Darko to work against late President Mills’ second term victory.

It is suspected that his disqualification was based on his suspension.

Mr Adams in an interview with Breakfast XYZ said he is carefully considering his next line of action.

“So many people have been pushing that I go independent and that they would work on the ground for me. It is a decision that one has to take but like I said I would have sit down and calculate what kind of trap they are setting for you whether you would them laugh or you would laugh at the end of the day” Kofi Adams said.

Meanwhile Pollster, Ben Ephson says Kofi Adams stands a good chance of winning the seat if he runs as an Independent candidate.
