Fugitive Ivorian Youth Leader under President Laurent Gbagbo, Charles Ble Goude, is reported to have been extradited to the West African country to face charges of torture, kidnappings, illegal detentions, incitement of hatred and economic crimes.

The former head of the dreaded Young Patriots was arrested on Thursday after he was on the run for more than a year.

National Security Coordinator Col. Larry Gbvelo-Lartey has confirmed this to Joy News but the fugitive’s lawyer, Kwame Akufo says the decision to extradite his client is unacceptable.

“So far Ghana is part of the international community some respect to international law must be upheld.

“You do not arrest a man and [extradite] him without due process. It is complete incorrect, improper and unlawful,” he said.
