Police in Assin Praso in the Central Region have retrieved three dead bodies from River Pra.
The bodies include an elderly man and two other children believed to be his.
The District Police Commander of the area, DSP Owusu Bempah told XYZ News in an interview that investigations are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances under which the three died.
“What happened was that three days ago in the evening around five o’clock when the Assin Praso elders and committee members came and informed me that they have found three bodies floating on the body.”
He said the police managed to retrieve the bodies which were decomposing with the help of very good swimmers.
He says they are not ruling out a foil play in the incident and that investigations are ongoing.
