Crunchsports : Barcelona have confirmed they are aware that Victor Valdes, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, will not be signing a new contract at Camp Nou.
Valdes is out of contract at the end of next season and has in recent days been linked with a move to Anfield as speculation about the long-term future of Pepe Reina continues.
Representatives for the 31-year-old had told Spanish news agency EFE that he had made the “irrevocable decision not to renew his contract” (see Related Articles), and Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta insists that the club respect that decision.
