Huffingtonpost.co.uk : Around 20 workers including an Irishman have been kidnapped by a group claiming to be al Qaeda at a Swedish gas plant in Algeria.
It is understood the 36-year-old married man, from Northern Ireland, was among British, Japanese, Norwegian and French nationals who were taken captive this morning.
