Speed Up Efforts Toward Local Content Professional Examination – Lee Ocran

The Minister of Education, Lee Ocran has called on the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana to accelerate efforts towards having local content Professional examination.

This will enable more students to qualify as professional marketers to enhance national development.

The call was contained in a speech read for him by the Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board, Kwame Dartey at the 23rd Annual Presidential Dinner Dance and 13th Closing ceremony of the CIMG’s Executive School in Accra.

The President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, Mrs. Shola Safo – Duodu in her address said marketing as is practiced today has undergone important changes and still moving on with the changes brought about by revolution in Communications ICT and other fields of study.

She noted that the Professional Marketer in today’s world is equipped with specialities that would be brought to bear on national development.

Mrs Safo Duodu said gaining new height with the current globalised and communication age has become more daunting for organization therefore the marketing professional must meet the challenges that include connected – knowledge economy, globalised and consolidated industries, fragmented market and demanding consumers and customers.
