Laryea Kingston Vs Senegal

A hamstring injury sustained by Laryea Kingston whilst on duty with Singapore side DuliPengiranMudaMakhot a FC (DPMM FC) – Brunei’s only professional team wrecked the Hearts of Oak player’s $ 1 million move, 90 MINUTES can confirm exclusively.

The controversial Ghana international was due for medicals with DPMM and even ‘successfully’ trained with them on day-1 before doing his hammy on the second day which killed every dream of him joining the team. Laryea had travelled to Singapore early on December with the view of clinching a deal.

Laryea’s injury ruled him out for three weeks but since returning to the country on Christmas Eve, the controversial player has failed to report to training with Accra Hearts of Oak because of the injury.

He has also failed to communicate to the Phobians on his return. Laryea shook off his injury to feature in the Samuel Inkoom Charity game on New Year Day at Essipong Stadium.

90 MINUTES understands the deal could be revived in June as the Singaporean side has promised to have a look at him during the period.

The player is believed to be weighing other offers before the January transfer window in Europe is closed.
