Dr Mustapha extends gratitude to constituents

Dr Ahmed Mustapha, Member of Parliament for North Ayawaso and Deputy Minister of Environment, Science and Technology has expressed gratitude to his constituents for returning him the fourth time as their representative in Parliament.

“I want to first and foremost thank the Almighty Allah for seeing us through 2012 and yet another successful election.

“I will like to thank the chiefs and people of North Ayawaso and to thank especially the National Democratic Congress executives…and the rank and file of the party for the confidence reposed in me by returning me to parliament for the fourth time,” he said.

Dr Mustapha who made this known in an interview with Ghana News Agency on Thursday, pledged to focus on and support his constituents in the field of education through the strengthening of the Constituency Educational Committee and to seek for more resources to cater for the brilliant but needy students.

“I shall also dedicate myself to the provision of God fearing and honest leadership, and respect for all no matter their ages.”

He said there were a number of on-going infrastructural development projects in the Constituency and expressed optimism that with the support of stakeholders, he hoped to complete them and to initiate new ones.

Dr Mustapha said, he would advocate the provision of the prerequisite infrastructure in the field of education, roads, drains and potable water.

He said the on-going bore hole project which has shown seen the sunken of eight bore holes would continue to reach as many people as possible.

He said, he would continue to work towards the provision of regular water supply; so that the erratic water supply which has bedeviled the Constituency over the years would be a thing of the past.
