One of the very talented pioneers of Music in Nigeria; Udoka Oguamanam popularly known as ‘Slam, formerly of Kennis Music, on Wednesday,9th January 2013 Officially released a video for his anticipated comeback single titled “Oya Na”. Under his own record label Slam Entertainment to the delight of his fans.
The video which featured the best of the best underground dancers battling to settle disputes, with SLAM as the referee had a fun twist to it, which makes it a must see. The battle is known as The SLAM.
According to SLAM the video shows the other side of the artist. ” I am a gemini and have got two sides of me. This video clearly shows that, as you would notice am not putting on white and the whole. Setting has a dark tone to it. I just want something different from the usual videos we see these days,’he said.
He added that Oya Na is just one out of the 11 track album set to drop in 2013. ” Oya Na is just one of the many songs I will be dropping an album soon and will be working with a lot of popular arts like 2face, iyanya and many more,’
Speaking on the video, Cinematographer, Nodash, said the video is amongst the top 3 video concepts he has ever seen. ‘ Oya Na is the kind of video that just gets you up and glued to the set. Its easy tell the story for what it is an underground battle!
Speaking on the working relationship on the set, Nodash said, ‘Not too many artist know exactly what they want so working with SLAM was easy, as the artist is very creative and has a lot to offer which makes the shooting easy,’ he said.
