Will Kopelman and Drew Barrymore

PatricMcMullan/Sipa

Where there’s a Will, there’s a way to Drew Barrymore‘s heart! We’re talking about Will Kopelman, of course, who recently popped the question to Barrymore, 36.

They have been romantically linked since February of last year, though they’ve remained pretty private about their relationship.

Here are a few things to know about the 33-year-old New York City native:

• Coco Chanel Connection? Kind of
The Boston University alum is the son of former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman. It just so happens that his mother’s name is Coco. His sister is author Jill Kargman, who’s written irreverent and sometimes-outrageous books such as Momzillas and The Ex-Mrs. Hedgefund. His grandfather is a World War II vet – and Kopelman wears his dog tags.

• He’s got aim
Not only is Kopelman an avid snowboarder, but he likes to shoot guns, too. He takes aim at targets at the shooting range, though, not animals. (Barrymore, a former vegetarian, probably wouldn’t approve of that.) A source tells PEOPLE his passion for shooting comes from watching “lots of Miami Vice” when he was a kid.

• He’s a movie buff
One thing Barrymore and her beau have in common is their love of film. Kopelman is a movie fiend who loves all Woody Allen, David Lynch and Steve Spielberg movies. He’s also dated another actress: Disturbia‘s Sarah Roemer.

• He’s a top art advisor
Barrymore has gone for bar owners and comedians, but this time she went for an arty guy: Kopelman is a successful consultant with high-profile clients from Robert Pattinson to Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard to Silicon Valley billionaires.
