The army’s spokesman, Colonel Ahmed Ali said Saturday 08\/12\/2012 that holding dialogue is the best and only way to overcome the current political turmoil and achieve national consensus in Egypt.<\/p>\n
“We follow up the current situation with regret and grief” Ali said. He reiterated also that the Army is keen to maintain unity and support the track of democracy.<\/p>\n
Instability takes the whole country to chaos; he warned citing the sensitive situation at the domestic, regional and international levels.<\/p>\n
The Armed Forces follow up with great concern the present developments and the divisions that led to the unfortunate events outside the presidential palace, where many people were killed and injured.<\/p>\n
The persistence of such divisions threatens the Egyptian state and its national security, Armed Forces spokesman Colonel Ahmed Ali said.<\/p>\n
Dialogue is the best and only way to reach consensus that achieves the interests of the nation and citizens or otherwise the nation will be driven into a dark tunnel, which is something the Armed Forces will not allow to happen, he said.<\/p>\n
The Armed Forces will always be on the side of the people, he underlined.<\/p>\n
