These false claims by the NPP are baseless and without merit.<\/p>\n<p>The attempt to declare the results of the elections is in flagrant breach of Ghana\u2019s electoral laws which vests the authority to declare electoral results in only the Electoral Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The misinformation and falsehood being peddled by the NPP are part of the grand scheme to cause confusion and create unnecessary panic and tension, knowing very well that they are no where near victory.<\/p>\n<p>The National Democratic Congress takes a strong objection to the false claims and urges civil society groups, including the National Peace Council, to bring the NPP to order.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to urge our supporters to remain calm, especially as we are very confident of victory.<\/p>\n<p>The NDC is well ahead of the NPP and the other political parties in the parliamentary elections.
