{"id":180966,"date":"2012-09-23T09:42:10","date_gmt":"2012-09-23T09:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2012\/09\/wife-of-vice-president-amissah-arthur-on-political-platform\/"},"modified":"2012-09-23T09:42:10","modified_gmt":"2012-09-23T09:42:10","slug":"wife-of-vice-president-amissah-arthur-on-political-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2012\/09\/23\/wife-of-vice-president-amissah-arthur-on-political-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Wife Of Vice President Amissah-Arthur On Political Platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/3791300592971_299338.jpg\" border=\"1\" class=\"c13\" \/><span class=\"peace_content_text_1\">Declaring that her husband had divine favour, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, better half of Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, on Saturday asked Ghanaians to retain the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in power at the next December general polls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod has blessed my husband; God has also blessed Cape Coast,\u201d Mrs Amissah-Arthur said, when she made a debut on a political platform at a rally in Cape Coast.<\/p>\n<p>The rally was to introduce the Vice President, who is the Running Mate of President John Dramani Mahama, the NDC Presidential Candidate, for Ghana\u2019s December 2012 polls at which the NDC is seeking to retain power for a second term from 2013-2016.<\/p>\n<p>Sporting red apparel with NDC symbol of the royal umbrella (akatamanso), in the colours of red, white, green and black embossed on it, accompanied the Vice President throughout trip to introduce the Vice President.<\/p>\n<p>The trip went through Mankessim, Anomabu and Cape Coast where the Vice President met with the chiefs and addressed separate rallies.<\/p>\n<p>The Second Lady paid tribute the late President John Atta Mills for his peace and patience, and described the Vice President as blessing to the people, because he had similar blood links with Cape Coast as that of the late President Mills.<\/p>\n<p>She praised her husband for espousing the virtues if peace and patience.
