For a network meant for Black Entertainment, it makes no sense for artists like Justin Beiber to shine at BET Awards while original African acts get quarantined as if they were some disease. Yes we saw the international acts (Africa and UK) on the red carpet, media center etc and that is some exposure in the US for them. But BET should seriously consider fully recognizing these artists at the awards.

Check out the full list of winners for the 2012 BET Awards.

Best Female R&B Artist

Beyoncé

‪

Best Male R&B Artist

Chris Brown

Best Male Hip-Hop Artist

Drake

Best Female Hip-Hop Artist

Nicki Minaj

Best Gospel

Yolanda Adams

Best Group

Jay-Z & Kanye West

Best New Artist

Big Sean

Best Collaboration

Wale Feat.
