Bernard Kumordzi Signs Three-Year Deal With Belgian Side Genk

Ghana international Bernard Yao Kumordzi has signed a three-year-deal with Belgian side KRC Genk.

The 27-year-old joins the club from French side Dijon who were relegated from the French Ligue 1 last season.

The midfielder made 15 appearances for Dijon and scored once since joining them in January from Greek Super League side Panionios.

Speaking exclusively to Goal.com Ghana, Kumordzi expressed his excitement about his new club and was of the view that it is in line to shape his career goals.

“It feels great and I’m happy to make this big step in my career and for me I think it is the right step for me,” he said.

Genk will be competing in the Europa league next season and the multipurpose player believes it is the right opportunity to fulfill his dream.

He stated: “The main reason why I chose Genk was to win titles and I know I can help the team together with my team-mates to achieve the dream both for the club and myself.

“I will keep working hard and I know by God’s grace I will be a starter.”
