Celtic eager for Chiefs test

Ransford Osei

Bloemfontein Celtic will travel to Polokwane to face Kaizer Chiefs in their Absa Premiership clash on Wednesday (19h30).

Phunya Sele Sele returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 2-0 win at home to Santos, bringing an end to a run of three straight losses in all competitions.

What will be pleasing for coach Clinton Larsen as well is the goal on debut for Ghana international Ransford Osei, who has the potential to be a huge player for Celtic for the remainder of this season.

The club have also targeted a top five finish this season, a position currently held by Chiefs, who are four points ahead of the Free State team at present.

If Celtic can cut that gap to one point then they will be very much on target to complete their goals, whoever slipping seven points back at this stage could be fatal for them.

Celtic have already been knocked out of the Nedbank Cup and so will have no match scheduled for the weekend.
