Asaba—THE cold war which had existed between chairman of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi in Delta State and the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has been put to rest.
Nwaoboshi who had been shunning public functions, even when his seat was reserved and properly labelled by protocol officers, made a public appearance at Government House Asaba to attend PDP stakeholders’ meeting.
Elated Uduaghan, said: “I am glad that party elders and leaders are present. I thank God we now have a united PDP in Delta State. Few months back, some of us here would not have been present at this meeting.”
He charged those within the party, who were still aggrieved to bury the hatchet and unite so that the party can move to a greater level.
Nwaoboshi in his welcome address said the meeting was slated to prepare party faithful for the forthcoming party congress so as to have a crisis-free congress.
He said: “We know we are all politicians and are bound to have different views, we can also disagree but we should be ale to resolve things amicably.”
