Fabio Capello: Spain are Euro 2012 favourites & Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho doesn’t know how to stop Barcelona

Goal :    England coach Fabio Capello feels that Spain are the team to beat at this summer’s European Championships because of their core of Barcelona players, and added that it is very hard to find a way to stop them, pointing out Real Madrid’s difficulty in trying to beat the Catalan club.

Capello’s England recently recorded a hard-fought 1-0 friendly win over Spain, but the former AC Milan boss stressed that Madrid trainer Jose Mourinho has yet to find the answer to Barcelona’s style of play.

“Spain are the main favourites to win Euro 2012 in my opinion. They have a lot of Barcelona players in their team,” Capello told reporters at the Italian Footballers Association (AIC) awards on Monday.

“We met them in a friendly encounter last year, and I was impressed with their ability to keep possession. Many have been looking to find the antidote, including Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho, but they have been unable to stop them.”
