No fewer than 2,000 Nigerian patients will this week benefit from a free world- class health check being organised by the West African Theological Seminary, WATS, in collaboration with an Indian-based hospital Artemis Health Institute, Glory Christian Ministries, and Medcrest Healthness.
A team of Indian medical experts are expected in Lagos by 28th through 31st January, 2012 following the four-day world – class medical checks to avail Nigerians access to advanced quality medical diagnosis.
They are expected to offer assistance and medical advisory for diseases such as stem cell therapy, cancer, kidney transplant, spine procedures, eye, dental, bariatric surgery, orthopaedics & joint replacement, gynaecology &IVF treatment, microdiscretomy spine surgery and cardiology – cardio Thoroacic surgery.
Other areas include allogenic bone marrow transplant, coronary artery bypass graft, CABG, minimal access & general surgery, knee/hip/shoulder/joint replacement, tattoo removal, paediatrics, liver transplant, spine procedures, tetra logy of fallout, breast cancer treatment, posture spinal fusion, weight loss surgery and artificial limbs among others.
Addressing a press conference in Lagos, weekend WATS provost, Dr. William Udotong, explained that the exercise became necessary following the rising cases of misdiagnosis in the country.
