Carlos Tevez’s representative Kia Joorabchian has acknowledged that Corinthians are interested in signing the Manchester City forward, but believes that AC Milan have not yet ended their pursuit of the striker.
The Scudetto holders’ vice-president, Adriano Galliani, had previously claimed that a move for the Argentina international had broken down, partly due to Alexandre Pato’s rejection of a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Meanwhile, Estadio do Pacaembu director Duilio Alves has also revealed that the Brazilian club are ready to re-enter the race for the temperamental attacker’s signature, after a bid in the summer failed.
However, despite admitting the appeal of Tevez’s former club, Joorabchian feels that his client may yet end up at the Giuseppe Meazza after all.
“Carlitos has a huge debt to Corinthians, but they must accept the fact that he wants to play for AC Milan,” the representative told Tuttosport.
“The conversations between AC Milan and Manchester City have not yet been completed: there will be other meetings, but we will have to wait and wait and wait …,” he concluded.
The statement comes in the wake of reports in France suggesting that PSG are ready to offer Tevez a bumper pay packet of €10 million per year to tempt him to the Parc des Princes.
