Asa “B” denies claims of premix embezzlement

The former NPP Member of Parliament for Mfansteman west in the Central Region, Stephen Asamoah Boateng has dismissed claims that he embezzled funds from proceeds of premix fuel during his tenure of office as Local Government and Rural Development Minister.

Speaking on Dwaso Nsem Friday, Mr. Asamoah Boateng added that he did not personally handle proceeds from Premix fuel.

Mr. Asamoah Boateng who is NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the area stated that during his time proceeds of premix fuel was handled by committees in various communities for developmental projects.

His reaction follows an allegation by the Spokesperson for Mfansteman West NDC, Julius Amoah that, he had embezzled proceeds of premix fuel.

He accused Asamoah Boateng for doing little to develop the area, adding the constituency has seen massive development in the three years that Aquinas Quansah has spent as MP for the area.

However, Mr. Asamoah Boateng has discounted the claims.

The former Mfansteman West MP described the claim as part of the NDC’s propaganda machinery to malign his candidature.
