Three men accused of the murder of a Tongaat couple appeared in the Verulam Magistrate’s Court on Friday, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
The case against Senzo Sello Nduli, 26, Lucky Ernest Njoko, 23, and Sibusiso Mthimkhulu, 28, was postponed to January 13, said Lieutenant-Colonel Vincent Mdunge.
They allegedly shot dead businessman Balaram Reddy, 56, and his wife Maliga, 52, in their Burbreeze, Tongaat home on December 22. Their son Nivashin, 27, was shot in the back and stabbed several times. He survived the attack.
The three accused will be kept in the Verulam police station cells.
They have been charged with murder, attempted murder and house robbery. – Sapa
