Angola: Elections in Athletics Federation Scheduled for July

Luanda — The elections in the Angolan Athletics Federation (FAA) are scheduled for 15 and 20 July of 2012, as decided last Monday, in Luanda, during FAA’s extraordinary general assembly.

The act was led by the chairman of the general assembly, Joanes André, and counted on the presence of 15 provincial associations, namely from Benguela, Bengo, Bié, Cabinda, Huambo, Huíla, Kwanza Sul, Kwando Kubango, Luanda, Lunda Norte, Lunda Sul, Moxico, Namibe, Uíge and Zaire, which took place at Futungo de Belas Tourists Complex.

Kwanza Norte, Malanje and Cunene are the provinces that were absent from the forum, which also established 35 as the number of voters, among associations and clubs.

The meeting also discussed the accounts and balance reports for the months of September to December 2009, January to December 2010 and January / June 2011.

The current board is chaired by Carlos Rosa, in his first term since replacing Carlos Teixeira.
