Luanda \u2014 Angola and China are bound by accords estimated at Usd 9.0 billion that will be refunded in 18 years time, Angop learned Thursday in Luanda.<\/p>\n
The information was released by the Finance minister, Carlos Lopes.<\/p>\n
The minister was answering questions raised by MPs during the plenary session that discussed and definitely approved the State Budget for 2012.<\/p>\n
The official explained that the accords were signed with the Eximbank of China and the Asian nation’s Development Bank.<\/p>\n
Carlos Lopes said there are three accords with Eximbank of China, the first of which estimated at Usd 2.5 billion, the second of 2.0 billion and the third 3.0 billion.<\/p>\n
The first will be refunded within 15 years and the second will take 18, with a three-year of grace and interest rate of 1,25 percent, the source added.<\/p>\n
As to the Development Bank of China, the minister spoke of a deal of about Usd 1.5 billion for a nine-year period with similar interest rates. Of these accords, according to the minister, Angola has a debt of Usd 5.6 billion only.<\/p>\n
The State Budget for 2012 was approved Thursday in Luanda with expenditures and revenues estimated at Akz 4.5 trillion. The National Assembly’s voting was 154 in favour, 19 against and no abstention.<\/p>\n
