Whether l play or not is the not issue with me and l am always concentrated and ready for every match. This is my work and l am ready and available whenever the coach calls upon me. The coach gave me the confidence and played me today and we won so l am very happy.

What changed for your team between losing to Senegal and today?

INot much changed for us. We were really tired after the first two games and this affected us against Senegal in the third game. For this semi-final game we were more rested and fresh thanks to the longer break so that helped with the recovery. Also the Senegalese are a good and physical side and that took a lot out of us while Egypt are also a good side whose style is similar to ours .

Do you think the first ten minutes is where you won the match?

Itri: Oh yes l thinks so. We were ready from first minute and we caught them sleeping a bit and scored the two goals. It was a massive boost to us and we managed to build on this great start and yes l think this helped us win this game.

How will you approach the final?

Oh we are motivated to win the final, the first U-23 African Championship. Yes we want to win it at home. We said from the beginning we wanted to first qualify for the Olympic Games football finals and then second to win this inaugural Championship Cup. All the guys are motivated because this is our only chance to win this Cup and l am confident we will win the final on Saturday.

AllAfrica – All the Time

<fieldset>
<legend align="center">More News on allAfrica.com</legend>
</fieldset>

Confederation of African Football (Giza) 8 December 2011 interview Younes Itri was called upon to keep goal for Morocco in the crucial CAF U-23 African Championship semi-final game against Egypt and the reserve goalkeeper played a part in the hosts’ victory and qualification to the final and London 2012 Olympic Games.The FC Carl Zeiss Jena goalkeeper told Cafonline.com after the 3-2 win that Morocco was pleased to have negotiated this tough match successfully.
