The agent of Vasco da Gama defender Dede has seemingly ruled out a transfer involving his client in January.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview with Goal.com, his representative Julian Aranda appeared to have quelled talk of a move away for the 23-year-old, who has reportedly garnered the interest of Benfica, as well as Italian giants Juventus.<\/p>\n
“Dede is very happy at Vasco, a great team who have just missed out on winning the Brasilerao and has just had a substantial increase in salary,” explained Aranda. “The duration of the contract has not changed, it still expires in 2014.”<\/p>\n
However, despite his admission, Aranda remained coy over the prospect of a club potentially meeting Dede’s release clause in the near future, although it is unlikely to be Roma, who the agent admits hasn’t heard from thus far.<\/p>\n
“I think that a transfer in January is out of question, unless they reach an offer that makes everyone happy,” he continued. “For the moment that has not yet arrived.<\/p>\n
“Roma? I’ve read the newspapers, but nobody has talked to me [about a potential move].”<\/p>\n
The clause currently stands at \u20ac20 million, and it is expected that Dede will stay put with Cristoval Borges’ men at least until the end of the 2012 Copa Libertadores.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
