{"id":9322,"date":"2011-12-09T09:52:19","date_gmt":"2011-12-09T09:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ghanamma.net\/2011\/12\/jj-hopes-for-nations-cup-boost\/"},"modified":"2011-12-09T09:52:19","modified_gmt":"2011-12-09T09:52:19","slug":"jj-hopes-for-nations-cup-boost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghanamma.com\/2011\/12\/09\/jj-hopes-for-nations-cup-boost\/","title":{"rendered":"JJ hopes for Nations Cup boost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mtnfootball.com\/content\/Jerome%20Ramatlhakwane_botswana-580~1.jpg\" width=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span>Jerome Ramatlhakwane<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Botswana international\u00a0Jerome Ramatlhakwane will use the 2012 Africa Cup of nations to showcase his skills to a global audience after being given his clearance by Santos on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The striker has been in a long-running dispute with the PSL club, who claimed he was still under contract with them, while the player believed his deal had expired.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">That has now been amicably put to rest and Jerome Ramatlhakwane is officially on the hunt for a new side.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">But the player\u2019s agent, Micky Paiva, says they will not make a decision on his future until after the Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, where Ramatlhakwane\u2019s Botswana have been drawn in a tough Group D along with Ghana, Guinea and Mali.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">With a host of international scouts set to be at the tournament, it is the perfect stage for the 26-year-old to market himself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cHe goes into camp with the national side for a month now and we will see what transpires after the Nations Cup,\u201d Paiva said. \u201cThere has been some interest from PSL clubs in the past, but that was when there was a transfer fee involved which I think put a few off. But now he is a free agent, that will hopefully open up more doors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cThe Nations Cup is a good opportunity for him to do well and perhaps win a move to Europe, that would be fantastic for him and a deserved reward.
