WARRI—THE Nigeria Ports Authority, NPA, Warri Port Personnel Manager, Mrs Ruth Boyo, was, Wednesday, abducted by unknown gunmen at her mother’s residence and driven away to an unknown destination.

The woman, said to be in her 50s, and mother of one child, is the wife of a medical doctor in Warri. She was said to have been in her car with her mother when the incident happened.

According to sources, the hoodlums took her into their waiting car and sped off. They later contacted the family demanding for a N50 million ransom.

Police sources declined comment on the issue even as NPA sources confirmed that she was indeed abducted and had not been seen as at the time of filing this story.

A member Delta State Waterways Security Committee and state Anti-kidnap Squad, however, told Vanguard that they were on top of the situation.
