He threw in the towel after he failed to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics having lost to Morocco and Senegal in two straight games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy contract had expired and I wanted to leave. But I didn\u2019t want people to think that I quit because the team was not in a good position to win the ticket,\u201d Eguaveon said in Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Eguaveon\u2019s team was the only hope for Nigerian fans after the Eagles and the Falcons all crashed out in their respective pursuits of Nations Cup and Olympic female soccer tickets respectively.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Comments are moderated.
