Erin Andrews is suing.<\/p>\n

The ESPN reporter \u2013 and former Dancing with the Stars<\/em> contestant<\/a> \u2013 has filed a $10 million lawsuit stemming from a 2008 incident<\/a> in which she was videotaped, nude, through the peephole<\/a> of her Nashville hotel room, Reuters reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the suit, which was originally filed last year, and just refiled to ensure the statute of limitations did not run out, Andrews asks for $6 million from the West End Marriott (plus costs and interests) and another $4 million from Michael Barrett, who plead guilty to stalking her. In 2010, he was sentenced to two and a half years in federal prison. <\/p>\n

The suit alleges that the hotel was guilty of negligence for allowing Barrett \u2013 who had previously videotaped Andrews in other cities, according to prosecutors \u2013 to learn that she was staying at the hotel and book a neighboring room.<\/p>\n

The Marriott has not commented on the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

Andrews, 33, who placed third on Dancing with the Stars<\/em><\/a> in 2010, said in her suit that the surveillance and the posting of nude images still causes her “great emotional distress and embarrassment.” <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
