Super Eagles forward Yakubu Aiyegbeni continues to warm himself into the heart of new helmsman, Stephen Keshi when he scored all four goals as Blackburn claimed only their second Premier League win of the season against spirited Swansea to take some of the heat off under-fire boss Steve Kean.<\/p>\n

Critics have played down his goal scoring prowess as calls for his recall into the Eagles after his blunder at the 2010 World Cup, claiming that his goals since returning to the Premiership were opportunist goals.<\/p>\n

Keshi had said in the process that he would keep the team\u2019s camp open to all Nigerian players at home or in Europe including out of favour Aiyegbeni and John Utaka who has slowed down and has been left out of the team too.<\/p>\n

He scored two goals in each half of the encounter at Ewood Park with the fourth in the 82 second minute when Vukcevic was brought down for a penalty. There was little doubt that Yakubu would have the final say on the pitch as he tucked in from 12 yards.<\/p>\n

Having not won since beating Arsenal in September and with fellow strugglers Wigan and Bolton both losing, Blackburn moved off the bottom of the table with three most welcome points.<\/p>\n

Following the midweek defeat at Cardiff in the Carling Cup, Aiyegbeni proved his value with a poacher\u2019s quadruple to give Rovers\u2019 fans something positive to shout about \u2013 although there were still protests against Kean\u2019s tenure from sections of the home support.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian striker played a delightful one-two with Gael Givet to open the scoring and scored another with his head on the stroke of half-time following Leroy Lita\u2019s headed equaliser.<\/p>\n

The former Everton forward nodded in at the back post following a Rovers corner to complete his hat-trick and make it 3-1.<\/p>\n

And although Luke Moore brought the nerves back to Ewood Park with a close-range finish after the hour, Yakubu sealed the points from the penalty spot late on following Joe Allen\u2019s red card for a second booking.<\/p>\n

However, with victory sealed, and with reasons for Rovers fans to go home smiling for once, the home supporters again concentrated their chants towards their beleaguered boss, with some staying behind to register their disapproval in an organised protest.<\/p>\n

It was Kean\u2019s seventh Premier League victory in 35 outings, and Rovers remain in the league\u2019s bottom three.<\/p>\n

Frustration threatened to be directed towards the team, such was Swansea\u2019s dominance up until Yakubu\u2019s opener on 20 minutes.<\/p>\n

The visitors were the far more brighter side, with Mark Gower and Joe Allen pulling the strings in midfield and Scott Sinclair dangerous on the left flank.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
